The MHP Romania Story: 12 Years of Proving That Trust Scales

Twelve years ago, MHP Romania was a small team with a big belief: that if you consistently deliver more than expected, the opportunities will follow.

They were right. From a single office in Cluj-Napoca in 2014, the company expanded to Timișoara in 2019, to Bucharest in 2024, and now counts over 1,100 people.

But growth like this doesn't happen through ambition alone. One thing kept opening new doors: trust. Trust with clients. Trust within the MHP group. And trust placed in the people who showed they could handle what came next.

Today, MHP Romania is the largest MHP subsidiary. That's a milestone worth noting, but the more interesting question is what it takes to build something like this, and what it feels like to be part of it.

The competition for tech talent in Romania is intense. So, our goal is to compete on substance, purpose, and culture: the impact, quality and complexity of our projects, the relevance of our technology stack, the genuine investment we make in people's development, and a culture that candidates can feel from their very first interaction with us. We connect talent with purpose.

Work itself reflects that ambition. As a strategic competence center within MHP – A Porsche Company Group, MHP Romania sits at the intersection of some of the most defining technology shifts of the moment: AI, machine learning, IoT, cloud, and data platforms,  applied to modernizing core systems, optimizing business processes, and digitizing end-to-end value chains. Romanian teams contribute across a wide spectrum, from software development and SAP consulting to cybersecurity, core infrastructure, and digital product development.

That spectrum of work is built and carried by people and, at MHP Romania, developing those people has always been as deliberate as the work itself.

MHP Romania offers both technical and leadership career tracks, built on a simple conviction: that depth of expertise deserves the same recognition as people management. Both are designed to take people somewhere.

Development here is structured without being rigid. Mentoring, internal training programs, and regular career conversations make growth a constant. The result, over twelve years, is a company that has genuinely produced its own: junior developers who became senior architects, early hires who grew into leaders shaping the organization they once joined. That's not coincidence, it's the result of a deliberate approach to growth.

But trajectory alone doesn't explain why people stay. Again and again, it comes down to culture: what the company stands for and whether people feel it early enough to hold onto it. Those who do tend to stay the longest are professionals who connect quickly with a genuine focus on people, a commitment to excellence, and a sense of belonging to something that actually matters.

The road ahead for MHP Romania is wider than it was twelve years ago. The company's roots in mobility and manufacturing remain foundational, but the company is actively expanding into new territory. AI, shifting market demands, and a deliberate push into sectors like public services, aerospace, and energy are redefining what the company does and where it operates. Growth is no longer a byproduct of ambition. It's a strategy.

Strategies, however, are carried by people. And the most telling sign of where MHP Romania is headed may not be the new sectors on the horizon. It's the people. Those who have been here long enough to have built something, and those who are just arriving to push it further. Different chapters, the same commitment.
