Bucharest Tech Week, the festival that has been transforming Bucharest into the capital of technology and innovation for the past five years, has named Cognizant Softvision as its lead partner. The six-day festival returns in May 2021 as a spectacular online event, adapted to accommodate COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
This year’s festival-themed “Bucharest: The Heart of Technology,” will bring together world leaders as well as local specialists who are passionate about technology and innovation.
The online adaptation to Romania’s most beloved technology festival maintains its well-known format from previous years and also introduces the potential of real-time, virtual networking and socialization among all participants.
The festival takes place May 18–May 23, with six Business Summits- online conferences that focus on current issues and feature international and local experts.
Prominent speakers will include:
Josh Linkner, an accomplished American author, entrepreneur, and speaker;
Marc Abraham, Head of Product - Engagement, Asos;
Eion Woods, CTO, Endava;
Ajit Sivadasan, Global Head Online Sales, Lenovo;
Katie Osberg, Global Retail Partnerships Lead, Google Business Communications;
Taking into account the specific dynamics of the IT field, and accelerated by the growth of digitalization in the last year, one of the new additions is the launch of the Software Architecture Summit, a conference for senior programmers and software architects. The Software Architecture Summit complements the festival’s Java Summit, where IT specialists and software engineers will learn about the latest trends in programming languages from international experts.
In addition to the six business summits, the event will also feature Tech Expo, the largest B2C event in Romania. Registered attendees can visit Tech Expo free of charge from May 21-23.
“The pandemic period has strengthened the message we have been promoting for five years: Technology supports and develops the business environment, brings people together and is the heart of communication.”
We are very excited that this year we are embarking on a journey together with a very important leader in the field of technology, Cognizant Softvision, which is committed to supporting Bucharest Tech Week and our efforts to put Bucharest back on the international technology map.” - Alexandru Măxineanu, Division Manager, Concept Tech Events.
During the event, Cognizant Softvision will present its Hubs concept, a new work experience that empowers national recruitment of the most talented IT specialists. The Hubs model, known as ''The Place To Be'', is based on the idea of flexibility, mobility and confidence. Hubs allows current and future employees to choose where they want to work: from home, from a remote location, from one of the five Cognizant Softvision studios in the country (Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Timisoara, Baia Mare) or from anywhere they feel most comfortable.
Cognizant Softvision will also present Game of Pods, its hyper-growth platform that’s inspired by gaming and focused on driving excellence within software delivery teams while optimizing and accelerating talent development.
“What differentiates Cognizant Softvision from other companies is the talent of our people and the power of our effective teamwork. This event will enable us to present our talent and our brand while supporting the local and global technological communities we love so much.” - Mihai Constandis, Country Manager Romania, Cognizant Softvision.
Bucharest Tech Week will also feature a keynote address from Cognizant Softvision CEO, Andres Angelani.
“Cognizant Softvision is well-positioned to design and engineer software that creates a differentiated digital experience, one that boosts consumer engagement and business outcomes. Bucharest Tech Week provides our organization with an optimal platform to demonstrate our strong commitment to the Romania market, while promoting the business of technology to a diverse and relevant audience.” - said Andres Angelani, CEO, Cognizant Softvision.
